Description
This machine is a custom decorated Finkle and Lyons “Victor” made in approximately 1871 – 1872. It was made for a wealthy woman from Germany sometime after she moved to California. Her last name was Von Haller but she dropped the “Von” when she moved so “Haller” is the name she had placed on the bed in mother of pearl. The custom design motif is “Wysteria” and the mother of pearl flowers were set on hand painted vines. All of this is in the top-of-the-line Finkle and Lyons fold top treadle cabinet (mahogany I think). This unique treasure is the crown of our collection and now you can share it with the world in a way. The stunning machine is pictured on the front of the shirt and the gorgeous cabinet is pictured on the back.
A bit more formal than a standard-issue t-shirt, the ultra cotton long sleeve tee is a clear comfort winner. The sleeves also act as a nice frame. There are no side seams. The shoulders are taped for improved durability. This makes for a good fitting around the shoulders and neck. The cotton used for these shirts is environmentally friendly.
